Insurance
Insurance policies can become very confusing. Therefore, here at Lascassas Eye Care, we want to make it as simple for you as possible during your visit. Here are a few things you can do before you make an appointment.- Find out what insurance company your medical policy is through. Most of the time you will have been given a card. If you don't have a card, your employer can get you the correct information.
- Know if your medical policy directly covers your routine vision benefits. Many medical insurance companies hire alternate vision insurance companies to cover routine vision. If you don't know, contact your employer or your medical insurance company. Either one can find out for you.
- Inform us of your insurance coverage prior to your appointment so we may answer questions you have. We will make every effort to insure that you are aware of your benefits.
If we cannot file your insurance claim for you, we will make sure you obtain an itemized receipt and help you find the correct paperwork to mail in for reimbursement. Any copays or overages will be collected at the time of service and before placing an order.
Routine Vision Benefits
Should you have routine vision coverage, you are usually allowed yearly routine eye exams and glasses or contacts. Some plans consist of funded benefits where you simply pay your copays, while other plans provide only discounted services and materials.Medical Insurance Benefits
If your visit to our office is for reasons such as red eyes, allergies, injuries or ocular diseases, then your visit is billed to your current medical plan. Your routine vision benefits and your medical plan may or may not be under the same insurance plan.
